This precious strand of genuine Saltwater Pearls features a very rare and luxurious golden hue with beautiful luster. Three larger central pastes followed by smaller surrounding pastes. The clasp is Sterling and set with sparkling old european cut Paste Stones. Three larger central pastes followed by smaller surrounding pastes. The clasp has a weighty feel due to its quality. There is a safety chain as well. Please note that due to age one of the tiniest paste has a discoloration that may be due to oxidation of the foil underneath. These Paste Stones were reinvented and popularized during the 1700s to imitate Diamonds. They were painstakingly hand cut and faceted. Each Pearl spectacularly graduate very closely in size showing the precision and detail of the strand. They are well rounded as well with thick nacre and beautiful surface quality. They display a shimmering iridescence when light falls on their surface. The strand is handknotted ensuring the Pearls do not rub against each other. This necklace drapes flat along the neckline with the Pearls exuding a soft, golden glow that creates a sense of timeless elegance and nostalgia.
