She retains an antique blonde human hair wig mounted on an old hand-stitched wig cap. There is a wig cap with it but it was not attached to the doll when taken out of storage. I placed for photos. Offered here is a beautiful 24-inch antique French bisque socket head bébé doll marked SFBJ 301 PARIS 11. This charming doll features large brown sleep eyes with real upper lashes, delicately painted brows, pierced ears, rosy cheeks, and an open mouth with upper teeth. Her expression is exceptionally sweet and photographs beautifully. She retains an antique blonde human hair wig mounted on an old hand-stitched wig cap. There is a wig cap with it but it was not attached to the doll when taken out of storage. I placed for photos. The wig appears period to the doll and has not been altered by me. The doll is mounted on a fully jointed composition body retaining an original BÉBÉ JUMEAU – Diplôme d’Honneur label. The body also retains its original pull-string voice mechanism with both strings present. The mechanism still produces sound when activated. The head is marked: SFBJ 301 PARIS 11 There is also an incised symbol at the crown beneath the wig which is shown in photographs. She is currently dressed in a lovely white cotton dress with lace trim and embroidery. No shoes were found with the doll. Condition Very good antique condition overall. Head examination revealed no visible hairlines, cracks, or repairs under normal inspection and blacklight examination. The bisque retains excellent color with attractive original painting. Brown sleep eyes function properly. Antique wig remains present and displays well. Composition body shows age-related wear including scratches, scuffs, paint loss, small chips, finish crazing, and other expected signs of age. A strip of old tape remains around the torso and has been left undisturbed. The voice mechanism remains present and produces sound when activated. There is a stable line visible across the lower back of the body along with general age wear consistent with an antique doll.
