This quiet check valve is spring loaded and has an angled seat, reducing the loud noise from the flapper closing after the pump turns off, so no more clunk. Besides being quiet, the EV-QV15 check valve creates a stable installation, removing the lean and wobble. Standard rubber-booted check valves can also be a disaster when they pop off-or worse, if the rubber gives way after years of pressure on the connections. When the EV-QV15 is installed, the 1--inch discharge pipe can be seated inside the PVC check valve for extra stability, taking the pressure off the couplings. The full-flow design causes less friction and allows for easier pumping. The EV-QV15 quiet check valve can be used in horizontal or vertical (solid free) installations with either schedule 40 or 80 PVC.
