Retains the original Columbia Statuary paper sticker. The infant Jesus fingers and world are present, however, the cross at the top of the world globe is gone. A striking and larger-sized devotional statue—wonderful for display. Beautiful vintage Columbia Statuary Infant Jesus of Prague statue, dated 1966 and marked Made in Italy. Measures 18 1/2” tall, to top of crown, and crafted of plaster. The gown is made of a fabric that feels like a satin brocade, but I’m not sure if it is. Crown is jeweled, though one of the the top stone is missing. There is a row of smaller gems on the bottom of crown. There is a break on the back of the crown. However it doesn’t really stand out. The infant Jesus fingers and world are present, however, the cross at the top of the world globe is gone. The body has a crack all the way around it. Some small nicks to the face and head consistent with age. The crown fits around the head which has indentation around it. There is a large needle in the middle of the crown that fits the hole of the head. That’s where it gets a bit tricky. You have to find exactly the right spot. Retains the original Columbia Statuary paper sticker. A striking and larger-sized devotional statue—wonderful for display.
