It is by Lamarche as stated in the bottom margin along with a date of 1795. Lamarche was one of the early publishing names used by Charles Francois Delamarche (1740-1817) who was "the successor of Robert Vaugondy," as stated on the title page along with the Delamarche name, a copy of the title page is included. Delamarche worked with Vaugondy and acquired the plates and copyrights upon Vaugondy's death. Delamarche would conitnue to revise the maps based on the more accurate discoveries by Captain James Cook during his three voyages from 1768-1779.The Delamarche family buisness would continue to publish maps under the son Felix until 1850 and then Alexandre Delamarche until around 1870. This is one of the early maps by Charles Delamarche from his Atlas Elementaire,  published in Paris in the Napoleonic Year Anno VIII or 1799 .  A copy of the title page is included for reference. The map is not mounted, matted nor framed being sold as a single sheet as seen in the first pics . Size: The entire page measures 8 3/4 by 11 inches (22x28cm). Condition: It is in Fair condition for its age, basically as seen in the pics, blank on the reverse, with bright original hand coloring and a centerfold as issued, printed on a heavy cotton paper with typical striations of the period when held to the light. There are several stains, pencil marks, minor splits at the ends of the centerfold, and some very minor pinholes only visible when held to the light, see the pics for more on condition. The pics are of the actual map.
