The set is a complete service for 6 and is in pristine condition. 100% of the proceeds from this sale benefit shelter animals at the Humane Society of Wickenburg. This exquisite Japanese Satsuma-style porcelain tea set likely dates from the Meiji period (late 19th to early 20th century). The Makers mark identifies the set as from the Jingdezhen Kiln. It features a characteristic cream-colored body with a fine glaze, adorned with meticulously hand-painted floral motifs. The vibrant chrysanthemums in shades of russet and purple are highlighted by heavy gold gilding, showcasing the high level of craftsmanship typical of export wares from this era. The set is a complete service for 6 and is in pristine condition.
