It comes with a period wooden box (jidaibako), which is not a maker-signed box (tomobako). About the wooden box This is a jidaibako - a wooden box of the same period as the piece, though not signed by its maker. Boxes like this are the reason Japanese objects of this age survive in the condition you see; each generation returned the piece to its box after use. Size Diameter: approx. 11.4 cm Height: approx. 6.8 cm Condition No cracks and no chips. The wooden box shows some age-related damage.
