The heavy grey-black patina pooled in the modelling makes every ear, tusk, blanket and leg stand out sharply - this is the darker of a pair we have and it reads as considerably more dramatic than the bright version, closer to old pewter than to polished silver tone. Each elephant is a fully modelled link rather than a charm hung from a chain, so the parade runs continuously around the wrist. It fastens with a box clasp on a flat plaque.
