This is an impressively substantial early Stanley bottle, weighing approximately 4.7 lbs and measuring about 15" tall and 4¼" across the base . The embossed base is marked: STANLEY SUPER-VAC “It will not break” Patented U.S.A. Sept. 2, 23 Stanley Insulating Co. Great Barrington, Mass. Made in U.S.A. Includes the cork stopper and threaded metal drinking cup/cap . The cork removes easily and the cup screws on properly. The bottle also retains its striking deep cobalt-blue glass interior liner . This bottle shows extensive wear consistent with considerable age and use, including finish loss, oxidation, discoloration, scratches, scuffs, tarnish, surface rust and other marks. Only a portion of the original exterior Stanley label remains. The metal cup also has significant wear and remnants from an old label or tape. The bottle was gently surface cleaned, but the aged finish and patina have intentionally been left as found. It has not been tested for temperature retention and is being sold as an antique collectible/display piece rather than for modern beverage use. Please examine all photographs closely.
