A mid-century BSK leaf pair in the brushed two-tone finish the company was known for: a broad leaf with a raised centre vein, pierced lacy edge and a twisted-rope border, about 30 mm long. Classic 1950s-60s costume with clip backs for unpierced ears. Cast leaves on paddle-style clip backs. Plated base metal in brushed gold tone and silver tone - no fineness mark and none expected. Each leaf is signed © BSK on the reverse (BSK, the New York costume house, 1948 to about 1980). Combined weight 8.0 g. Please note: both clip hinges carry verdigris and one clip shows plating worn to copper, and the front finish has dulled, as described in the condition notes. Sold in that state - the verdigris can be cleaned back with a fibreglass pen or a cotton bud and vinegar, but it is disclosed and priced accordingly.
