Country of origin and country/regiion is Western Germany. with the lid in place the stein stands about 7 1/2" tall. the design surrounds the outside of the mug.. impressed "1192" under handle on stein. impressed and stamped"western germany" on bottom along with other images.see picture. one side of the stein reads "Ein Trunk bein Tanz in Ehren" under the design    while the other side of the  stein reads "Ein wird dir niein and Wehren". the design features villages wit moutains in the back along with a couple dancing in   the center.
