This beautiful  early 1900s embossed Christmas postcard  features a wonderfully textured, deeply embossed image of  Santa Claus  approaching a snow-covered cottage door. His coat is highlighted with  airbrushed red coloring , a technique used by several early postcard publishers to add subtle color to otherwise monochromatic embossed designs. The effect creates a warm, glowing appearance that gives Santa’s figure depth and character. The scene includes heavy icicles hanging from the roofline, a snowy ground surface, and finely carved wooden details—hallmarks of high-quality embossing from the  pre–World War I postcard era . The greeting  “A Merry Christmas”  is embossed along the bottom in ornate script.
