Vintage Elite Works Limoges Dinner Plates Set 6 Gold Scallop Rim France Offered for sale is a beautiful set of 6 vintage Elite Works Limoges dinner plates, produced in Limoges, France and imported by Bawo & Dotter for the American market. Elite Works was a mark used by Bawo & Dotter, a prominent New York importer of French porcelain during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Each plate is crafted from fine white porcelain with a warm, slightly aged white tone rather than a bright, stark white. Each plate features an elegant gold scalloped rim.The gold trim follows the gently molded scalloped edge, adding a classic decorative detail to the graceful shape of each plate.  Maker: Elite Works (Bawo & Dotter) Origin: Limoges, France Approximate Date: Circa 1896–1914, based on the red and green maker marks Quantity: Set of 6 Condition: Great vintage condition consistent with age and normal use. - No cracks or repairs visible upon inspection. - Utensil marks, surface scratches, and stacking wear consistent with use and storage. - Gold trim wear and light staining are present on some pieces. - Oxidation to the gilt is present, consistent with age - Tiny flea bites may be present on the underside of the foot/rim base that are not visible when displayed. - Occasional glaze pops, pinholes, kiln specks, or small dark inclusions are present from the original firing process. - Minor manufacturing imperfections typical of vintage porcelain may occur. - Light shelf wear is present. - These pieces are vintage porcelain dating to the early 1900s and show normal signs of age. - The porcelain is white with a warm, slightly aged tone and is not a bright or stark white.
