Antique sterling silver pill/trinket box featuring an authentic 1883-O Morgan silver dollar mounted as the removable lid. The Morgan dollar bears the “O” mint mark for the New Orleans Mint beneath the eagle on the reverse. The underside of the box is stamped: H. CORRIGAN STERLING The exact identity and working dates of H. Corrigan have not been confirmed. The Morgan dollar itself dates to 1883, while the sterling box may have been created later using the original coin.
