Antique Victorian Gold Filled Lattice Brooch Pin c.1880–1890 A charming late Victorian gold-filled brooch, c.1880-1890, with beautifully detailed dimensional work in a petite oval form. The center features an intricate diagonal lattice or trellis design composed of finely worked twisted and leaf-like elements, framed by raised bead and foliate decoration around the border. The combination of texture and relief gives the brooch far more presence than its small scale suggests, while the warm antique gold surface highlights the workmanship beautifully. The reverse retains a long pin stem with an open C-style catch. Unmarked. Measures approximately 1" x 3/4". CONDITION Very good antique condition with expected age-related surface wear, patina and localized darkening, particularly within recessed areas. The gold-filled surface retains attractive, strong color overall and the decorative detail remains well preserved.
