At about 42 mm they have real presence. The raised border and flowers stand well proud of the plain panel, and the recesses are darkened to make the relief read. Each shield has an integral loop at the top that looks like a bail - these may have begun life as pendant or fob drops and been fitted as earrings, or the loop may be decorative. Hinged paddle clips with white comfort pads. The metal is silver tone base metal : it was acid tested and is not sterling, and there is no mark on the reverse.
