Vintage James Sadler & Sons Ceramic Teapot - Pattern 3522 (Made in Staffordshire, England) Item Specifics & Description: Up for sale is a beautiful vintage ceramic teapot crafted by the renowned English pottery maker, James Sadler & Sons. This piece features a classic ribbed/swirl body design adorned with a vibrant hand-painted floral pattern of pink and yellow cabbage roses, heavily accented with elegant gold trim on the handle, spout, base, and lid finial. The bottom features the impressed "SADLER ENGLAND" hallmark along with the hand-written pattern number 3522. Dimensions: Approximately 7" from base to top of finial tall and 9" from spout tip to handle edge wide. Capacity: Standard 4-Cup / 5-Cup size. Condition Report: Please review all photos carefully as they form part of the description. Cracks/Chips: I do not see or feel any chips or cracks, on the body, lid, or spout tip. Glaze Crazing: Features fine, clean glaze crazing appropriate for its age, which gives it a wonderful authentic vintage character. Gold Trim: The gilt trim is in Very Good condition with minimal / minor / light rubbing on the handle & normal contact points. There is a small flea bite in the gold gilt on the rim under the lid, which I think you can see in the last picture. I looked at it under a loop and it appears to me only to be in the gold and not in the ceramic itself Interior: The inside has minor tea staining or dirtiness. (I did not attempt to clean it). Perfect addition to a Sadler collection, an English country cottage kitchen, or for a vintage tea party display!
