Vintage Lefton Trinket Box with 2 Trays.   Mid-century hand painted porcelain box with lid. Two trays are included inside the box.   Believe that the set was intended as a cigarette box with ash trays. It would make a beautiful vanity set.   Aqua statin finish, gold brushed edges. Box cover and center of trays have detailed, colorful courting scene. Gold floral accents. Gold moriage circles the courting scene.   Bottom of box has original foil label “Lefton Reg US Pat Off Exclusives Japan” Bottom of box and trays have gold mark “Lefton China Hand Painted Red US Pat Off 1543”.   Measures approximately: Box: 1.75” high with lid, 4.5” long, 3.25” wide. Trays: 4” long, 2.75” wide, .5” high.   Beautiful condition. No chips or cracks. Might be a very small spot of color loss on man’s cape – may be original to piece. Old label remnants on bottoms.
