MY RESEARCH INDICATES THAT ORIGINAL BROOCH CLIP WAS HAND MADE IN EUROPE, POSSIBLE GERMANY, AUSTRIA OR SWITZERLAND IN 1920 TO 1930S.  Higher silver content 935 makes metal more resistant to tarnish and gives it brighter finish. Measurements: Long: 2 ” inch - 50mm. Width: 1 1/4" inch - 33mm. Marcasite stone size: 3mm, 2mm, 1.5mm. Weight: 12.10 grams.  CLIP PART IS ORIGINAL AND NOT STERLING SILVER, MADE FROM STIFFER  METAL TO HOLD. HALLMARKS: A. J. COLE., 935, XXXX.
