Beautiful vintage Estée Lauder miniature solid perfume compact, featuring a luminous mother-of-pearl style lid accented with an ornate gold-tone EL monogram. The compact has an intricately patterned gold-tone metal case with a repeating fleur-de-lis style design on the underside and decorative detailing around the sides. Hinged construction opens to reveal the original metal interior pan. This piece previously contained an older, highly fragranced cosmetic/perfume product, which has been removed and the interior gently cleaned. Compact is being sold empty as a collectible/display piece. Measures approximately 1.5" across. Based on the design, this appears consistent with Estée Lauder's early mother-of-pearl/monogram compact designs from approximately the 1960s era. The combination of the ornate monogram, mother-of-pearl appearance and patterned gold-tone case makes this a gorgeous little vintage vanity collectible. Condition: Good vintage condition with expected age-related wear, including finish wear/tarnish, discoloration and areas of verdigris/oxidation, particularly around the interior rim and underside.
