Beautiful vintage Chinese famille rose-style porcelain covered ginger jar featuring colorful hand-painted figural scenes surrounded by elaborate pink, turquoise, green and red floral and scrolling decoration. The jar has a coordinating domed lid with floral decoration and a red finial. The underside bears a red Qianlong-style reign mark. This mark is being described as an apocryphal/reign-style mark and is not a claim that the jar dates to the 18th-century Qianlong period.
