Each depicts a curvaceous woman in a long, flowing dress balancing the top portion of the candlestick on her head.  The pieces are heavy for their size, and made of spelter with mercury gilding.  This process (now banned) involves "plating" the metal with powdered gold, dissolved in mercury, then fired and polished. This expensive process provides a real gold finish.  The gilding on these pieces is exceptional.    Measurements The candle holders are 9" tall,  3.75" wide, and 3.75" deep.   Condition Report Overall, the piece is in excellent condition. There is some wax residue from use and a light amount of wear to the gilt, typical for the age of the piece.
