We are pleased to offer this small vase, done with a narrow neck, this vase has ornately detailed and hand painted scenes featuring flowers on a bamboo lattice work, trees with blossoms, and scenes of ancient Japan. Japanese pottery and porcelain is one of the country's oldest art forms, dates back to the Neolithic period. Kilns have produced earthenware, pottery, stoneware, glazed pottery, glazed stoneware, porcelain, and blue-and-white ware. This vase measures 5 inches high and is 3 1/2 inches at its widest. Its base measures 2 1/4 inches in diameter. It weighs 3/4 pound. This vase is in very good condition, with no chips, cracks, or crazing. It is evident it was used for floral displays at one time and could use a good cleaning inside and out. It will look beautiful once cleaned, however.
