The back of the belt buckle reads : The obverse of the Buffalo nickel, designed by James E Fraser, was a composite American Indian profile from models Chief John Big Tree, a Seneca; Chief Two Moons, a Cheyanne; and Chief Iron Trail, a Sioux.
