It is approximately 3/4" by 4". The clip is a made in France french barrette clip - 85 mm (about 3 1/4 inch clip) - the finest clip manufactured.   It is individually created by artist Janet Wolery at her Contemporary Glassworks studio in Delaware, Ohio and is made of dichroic glass which has been fused in a kiln to 1500 degrees, and then slumped in a kiln to shape in a separate firing. Dichroic Glass  is a specialized glass that has been coated with as many as forty coats of laser vaporized heavy metals. This is done in a vaccuum chamber and the metals settle onto sheet glass.
