Beautiful vintage SWANK men's formal dress set dating to approximately the late 1930s–early 1940s, featuring two matching cufflinks and three tuxedo shirt studs in the original Swank presentation box. The cufflinks and studs feature iridescent mother-of-pearl/abalone shell faces with a sleek diagonal gold-tone accent. The shell shifts beautifully between charcoal, violet, blue, green and silvery tones depending on the light. The cufflink backs are marked SWANK and B&W PLATE, an early marking associated with Baer & Wilde and the formative years of the Swank brand. This set dates to approximately 1936–1941, making it about 85–90 years old. The age can be narrowed by the markings on the cufflinks.
