Turned wood handle and balm rest driver. Unique ratchet design has those two 'wing levers' (photos 5, 6 7) which lock the rotation, one locks the clockwise rotation the other counter clockwise - this is how most ratchets work. But if you engage both wing levers the brace's rotation is locked - that it no ratchet action. Older knurled surfaces in a few spots to aid gripping the steel parts.  • Smaller bit brace tool has knurled surface to tighten around the vintage square ends of the boring bits. This could probably be used on taps too, but the jaws are specific to the square ends on boring bits. • (Top bit) is 9½" long. This bit has an adjustable diameter feature by loosening the screw and repositioning the side slicing element. Minimum bore is about ¾", Max looks like just under 1½". Note there is a fine scale on the arm to make precision diameter settings.  • Bits below the auger brace: A three piece set in the original carry pocket. Made in Japan. "Supreme" brand. Looks like 1/2" ... 3/8" ... 1/4" diameters. • Bit at bottom: DONLAP in a Craftsman tube. Drill is marked "-9" and appears to be 9mm diameter bore. Also marked "Vanadium" Total Weight is just over 3¼ pounds . . . shipping weight  will come up to 5 pounds due to the need for a long box. CONDITION :   Bit Brace: Very good - ratched and hand grip pivots all smooth operating. The bit jaws close properly. Smaller brace: excellent - jaws function as designed Bits are all strong, seem straight.
