This is an unusual vintage abstract studio-art brooch measuring approximately 2.12 inches long by 1.31 inches tall. The rectangular metal base has softly rounded corners and an intentionally irregular abstract surface combining deep cobalt blue, orange, brown, green, white, and yellow details. The front has a layered, almost painterly enamel / mixed-media appearance with scattered geometric lines and shapes. The reverse tells you immediately this was not churned out by some perfectly polished factory. It has a simple pin-back mechanism along with substantial visible soldering and discoloration from construction. It has a very handmade studio-jewelry character.
