The piece showcases fantastic craftsmanship, with rhythmic, uniform chisel/gouge marks creating a textured fur appearance characteristic of mid-century regional folk art (resembling classic Black Forest or Japanese Kibori Kuma styles). The smooth, planed undersides of the paws clearly show authentic hand-tool cuts. Dimensions: Length: 5-1/2 inches (nose to tail) Height: 3-1/2 inches Condition:Excellent vintage condition with no cracks, chips, or repairs. There is one small puncture on top, I’m Not sure from what or where, see photos. The wood has a wonderful aged patina and retains its strong, dark finish.
