Vintage mid-century ornate cast metal footed jewelry casket / trinket box. This beautiful decorative box features a highly detailed, high-relief embossed lid depicting a romantic Victorian or Colonial courting couple scene in an outdoor garden setting. The sides are heavily embellished with elaborate classical scrollwork, floral accents, and stylized heart designs on the four sturdy feet. Features a completely removable lift-off lid. The interior retains its original, vibrant rich red velvet lining which is clean and intact. The underside retains its original gold square "Made in Japan" foil sticker.
