Impressive vintage mixed-metal cockatoo/parrot sculpture featuring individually formed and layered metal feathers, detailed feet, branch and leaves. Approximately 18 inches tall × 11 inches wide. Mounted on a rectangular black base with gold-tone trim. The underside of the bird has an oval stamped maker’s mark, but the marking is worn and has not been positively identified. Please examine photographs closely. Nice aged metal patina throughout. Shows normal oxidation, discoloration and surface wear consistent with age. I have intentionally not polished or restored the sculpture. Maker currently unknown. This piece has similarities to Mexican and mid-century mixed-metal bird sculptures, but it is not being represented as a Sergio Bustamante sculpture.
