View Vintage New Handmade Unisex Japanese Yukata Summer Kimono, 1960s with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. This unisex yukata is handmade using nice and sturdy kimono fabrics (feel like cotton canvas). Like other forms of traditional Japanese clothing, this yukata is made with a straight seam and wide sleeves using a one-size bolt of fabric with 2 front panels (Maemigoro) on the left and right and 2 panels on the back (Ushiromigoro/back panels; see the last picture for the picture illustration of a Japanese kimono construction). A yukata is an unlined cotton summer kimono, worn in more casual settings. This unisex yukata is handmade using nice and sturdy kimono fabrics (feel like cotton canvas). Like other forms of traditional Japanese clothing, this yukata is made with a straight seam and wide sleeves using a one-size bolt of fabric with 2 front panels (Maemigoro) on the left and right and   2 panels on the back (Ushiromigoro/back panels; see the last picture for the picture illustration of a Japanese kimono construction). As with kimono, the left side of the yukata is wrapped over the right side, and secured with either a stiff, one-layer obi, or a softer, also one-layer obi (obi belts are available on separate listings). Nice and beautiful patterns, very colorful. Dimensions (approximately):  61 ¼” from the shoulder to the bottom, (64 ¾” L from the collar), 22 1/2” W (shoulder width), 12 ½” L sleeves, 6” overlapping front panels Vintage new; never been used.
