Recruitment poster depicts construction workers - men and women - and promotes this job as essential for successful second five-year plan. Manual workers, like builders, together with  farmers,  were often used and idealized by communist propaganda as main part of the economy as a  perspective jobs with a bright future. A five-year plan or five-year plan is a plan for the development of the national economy for a period of 5 years. It is mainly used as a basic tool for managing a socialist economy, but it also exists, for example, in India and in the past in Japan, Pakistan, Argentina, South Korea, etc. The second five-year plan in Czechoslovakia (1956–1960) was only approved in the form of a law in October 1958. Originally, it was supposed to follow on from the first five-year plan, which ran from 1949 to 1953. However, due to the imbalance between the metallurgical, fuel-energy and raw material base, it was not enough to keep up with production, they were one-year plans set for 1954 and 1955. During the period of the 2nd five-year plan, the so-called Rozsypal reform took place, which reorganized the corporate sphere and was supposed to lead to the decentralization of central management (Wiki).
