Shows some paint wear on handles and minor scratches on metal surfaces but no damage or cracks. This has been called the hardware store plane by some but being made in the USA says a lot about it and having gone over it and handled it I can say it feels as good as any plane I have. If this is your first plane you will have it for the rest of your life and if it is just an extra for small jobs in the shop I will bet it will become your go to plane because it is lighter, being shorter and handles easily.
