The whitish soles can use a little cleaning if you choose to and around the edge of the opening of each shoe there are little 16th of an inch or so threads that can be trimmed or just left. The heel measures approx 3.25" at the back of the shoe and approx 2" at the widest part or about at the ball of your foot. So there's approximately 1.25 in heel drop.
