Here we have a brooch from the late Victorian era crafted of 10k rosy yellow gold and set with five assorted pieces of onyx and one petite seed pearl. Here we have a brooch from the late Victorian era crafted of 10k rosy yellow gold and set with five assorted pieces of onyx and one petite seed pearl. This ornamental brooch mainly features three large triangular-shaped beveled pieces of onyx in sawtooth bezel settings with fancy scrolling wirework surrounding them. Within the central onyx rests a gold leaf with a seed pearl nestled in its center. Just north of the central onyx is a circular beveled onyx accent in a similar setting flanked by more gold wirework. South of the central onyx slab is more twisted wire and finally the smallest bead of onyx at the base of the design. The backside of the brooch features the original handmade c-catch and functional pin. The brooch appears to be missing the required hardware it once held to also wear this piece as a pendant. For that reason, the brooch is sold as is. Normal surface wear should be expected. It is beautiful nonetheless and there are no other issues to note. The item tests as 10k.
