In addition to the specs. noted above, I want to confirm this version of the Ride shoe is significantly different from previous versions. The midsole foam is still the "PWRRUN" foam, but it's a bit lighter and softer compared to previous versions. This is one of Saucony's most versatile and popular daily trainers. Note: the "D" sizing indicator represents a men's medium or standard shoe width. As viewed in the pictures, these shoes are mostly black with some white and silver accents. Some detailed specifications include the following... Pronation type: Neutral (as discussed below) Drop: 8 mm Heel stack height: 35 mm Forefoot stack height: 27 mm Weight (each shoe): 10.2 oz (per digital scale) Other notes: Most would probably consider this a trainer that is best suited for road/paved surfaces. Although, well maintained and relatively flat dirt roads would also be fine (like the many farm roads we run on in Kansas). I land somewhere between a neutral and a stability running shoe when it comes to a trainer. For me, this shoe falls in the "neutral" category. There are not the traditional stability features like a "post" or even higher density foam on the medial side of the shoe, but there are some features that help to guide the foot through the gait cycle. As for the upper, it's made up of a thin but durable material that is extremely breathable. I also like the overlays around the edges of the toe box that offer structure to the upper and create a more roomy/comfortable forefoot area. Then there is the reinforced heel counter, decent collar padding and a gusseted tongue to help with the lockdown. The modest midsole flare is another nice feature because the slightly wider platform allows for more surface area contact with the road. I've also noticed the foam build-up on the sides, which helps with stability because these foam "rails" offer additional medial and lateral support. In other words, this midsole foam build-up helps to "cradle" the foot in the shoe. Finally, I want to mention the Saucony "SPEEDROLL" rocker design at the forefoot that helps roll the foot through each gate cycle. In addition to the specs. noted above, I want to confirm this version of the Ride shoe is significantly different from previous versions. The midsole foam is still the "PWRRUN" foam, but it's a bit lighter and softer compared to previous versions. At first, I thought this was just me and maybe my thinking was off, but then I watched an interview of a Saucony Product Line Manager and he confirmed as much. He noted Saucony made this version of the "PWRRUN" foam a little less dense and that is what I am feeling on the road. I can also confirm there is more of it, as the stack has increased 2 mm over the full length of the shoe. The increase in stack height from heel to forefoot, as well as the lighter/softer midsole foam, is noticeable and results in a completely different shoe relative to previous versions. I found previous versions to be firmer and equally responsive. Now I would not consider this version of the shoe to be as soft or plush, like the Saucony Triumph model (for example), but it does seem to bridge that gap between a firm/responsive ride and a soft/easy ride under foot. It's still a trainer-type daily shoe, but the added foam offers a bit more protection, while still maintaining a somewhat responsive feel on the road. I realize my commentary is mostly subjective, and primarily based on my experiences with this shoe, but please also take a moment to look-up some of the online reviews, as the feedback is mostly similar to my experience. I bought a few pairs of these shoes in different colors, but won't use them all. So these are new shoes that have never been tried on or taken out of their box, except for the pictures uploaded above. Terms and Conditions: You may We have also moved our "Terms and Conditions" to a separate page within our Ebay store. You may navigate to this page by clicking on the link on the left side of our "Store Home Page" (below the product categories) or you may click on one of our "Terms and Conditions" direct links herein. Note to international customers regarding shipping... We apologize to those that feel some of our international shipping charges are too high. We only charge actual shipping rates, but once an order exceeds a certain amount, we hesitate to use the least expensive US Postal Services First Class International service. We feel this way, because this service is not trackable or insurable...so more risk of loss. We prefer the US Postal Services Priority Mail International service for more expensive orders, because this service is trackable at USPS.com and insurable...so less risk of loss. Unfortunately, this service is more expensive, especially for smaller/lighter packages, relative to the First Class International service. We are sorry about these higher shipping costs, but hopefully our notes help to explain why this is the case. Note to international customers regarding customs... We also apologize to those that feel their country import taxes, duties and brokerage fees are excessive. As a small US business, we are required by customs' laws to declare each order as a retail sale. Additionally, the declared order value must be equal to total store purchases and/or winning auction bids (less any shipping costs, as these are not considered in the declared value). As a result, each customer will be responsible for paying his/her own country taxes, duties and brokerage fees, which will be collected upon delivery. Again, we apologize for these additional costs, but we cannot afford the penalties and fines that come with breaking customs' laws...so we have to strictly abide by them. Condition: New with box.
