NO scuffing on the base. Overview  -  Available for purchase is an IMMACULATE Luigi Mandruzzato amber and amethyst sommerso 'Botticella' vase. Inside the vase layers of amber and amethyst colored glass are skillfully fused together and finished with a final coat of clear glass before being blown into a mould. Once cooled the item is then ground and polished into the shape and luster you see. Extreme craftsmanship meets timeless design in this stout, mid-century masterpiece.  Soprammboli Vetri Molati - Ground Glass Ornaments Condition - Condition of this item is EXCELLENT. No chips. No cracks. NO scuffing on the base. The red and gold foil label is in immaculate condition for its age. There are two very minor scratches that I've included pictures of. I had to zoom in to photograph them, but I believe in transparency. This is about as good as it gets for a piece from 1954-1967. Included with the vase will be a microfiber cloth so you can clean it. Please DO NOT submerge it in soap and water as you'll ruin the label. The cloth cleans off fingerprints extremely well.  Origin - This vase is 100% authentic.  In addition to the label, I've been in correspondence with Allesandro Mandruzzato, who is both the owner of the company and Luigi's grandson. In addition to confirming its authenticity, Alessandro also seemed pleasantly surprised to see such a fine example and commented how he still has his grandfather's mould for this model.  Dimensions   - 7.5" tall, 2" wide base, 2.86 lbs.
