The terracotta Santon Baby Jesus from Provence, France is a handmade Nativity piece featuring the iconic image of baby Jesus in a manger.  Made from terracotta, wood, and cloth, this collectible item includes the baby Jesus figure and manger. The set is inspired by the traditional holiday and seasonal theme, with the subject being Jesus. The craftsmanship of this unique piece is a testament to the artistic traditions of France, making it a cherished addition to any Nativity collection.  The baby measures 4-1/4" long, open arms are 3" wide and entire piece is 4" tall.  The manger legs are made of plywood and it rocks because one of the legs is a wee bit longer than the others - this could be remedied by sanding and is offered "as is" as pictured and described.  Santons have been made by numerous artists in the Marseilles area of Provence - this is the largest manger/Baby Jesus set I've seen.  It came to me with other Santons that range in size from 8-12" tall that will be offered separately.
