They could easily be touched up. (There is so much wonderful color happening with the glaze on this piece you really have to look to find them.). (See photos). These are production artifacts. This is a fabulous   vintage mid-century modern studio art pottery pitcher vase .   This  piece features the most amazing drip glaze in multiple shades of green.   The colors in the glaze range from a vibrant turquoise, to a classic avocado green, to a deep mossy green, and a unique "camouflage green" almost golden tone.  The organic flow of the drip glaze and vibrant color palate are the hallmarks of the iconic  mid-century modern aesthetic.    This vase is petite in stature but will make a bold impact in any space.    The vase measures approximately 7" (7 inches) in height and 4 1/2" (4.5 inches) in width (at the widest point).   The vase is signed on the base.    It  is in very good vintage condition.  There appears to be two small chips in the glaze on the front of the vase near the base of the neck.  (Each measuring less than 1/8").  They could easily be touched up.  (There is so much wonderful color happening with the glaze on this piece you really have to look to find them.)   There are a couple of bumps in the glaze (possibly excess clay) on the backside of the vase near the base.  (See photos).  These are production artifacts.  There is an additional production artifact on the underside of the vase in the form of an excess accumulation (or little glob) of glaze in one area.  As a result, the vase does not sit perfectly flat on a surface.  I display the vase as is, however the addition of felt pads on the underside of the vase (opposite the excess glaze) would provide a more consistent stance.   See photos as all details above are pictured.  The photos are always the best representation of an items condition of this.   PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: *Review all photographs and details of the listing.  Vintage items are sold "as is" and refunds are not accepted.  I do my best to describe each item, but vintage items are expected to show some signs of age and ware.  Photos are the best representation of condition.  I am more than happy to provide additional photos and answer any questions regarding this listing.   **Shipping prices are for USPS ground rate shipping to the contagious United States.  Please inquire for shipping costs to Hawaii and Alaska as well as international shipping rates.  If you would like your item to arrive more quickly, please inquire for Priority Mail shipping rates.   ***I package and ship my items using recycled materials whenever possible.   THANK YOU FOR LOOKING!   Condition: Used.
