It is not necessary, as it is not a hole. The stitch has just pulled apart as shown in the photo. Also, on that right sleeve, you can see where the white thread is missing on a piece of the gingham. Condition Notes: Sold by the original owner. Item is in excellent vintage condition. This item's history is that it has been stored in a pet-free, smoke-free, climate-controlled environment by the original owner. Dress is blue and white gingham with a white apron-style front and two large strawberry appliques that open as pockets. Collar and sleeves have white lace trim. Two buttons are intact. No holes, tears, or stains. The right sleeve could use a stitch to pull the two pieces of material back together at the seam where the apron and gingham material meet. It is not necessary, as it is not a hole. The stitch has just pulled apart as shown in the photo. Also, on that right sleeve, you can see where the white thread is missing on a piece of the gingham. Approximate measurements:  Armpit to Armpit=12 inches, Shoulder to Hem=12 inches, Shoulder to Shoulder=8 inches Dress does not have brand/size tag.
