Hand sewn with exposed seams, giving it a textured feel and look. Very unique and interesting! Pink stripe backing. Mostly cotton fabrics, but has a few patches that look like polyester. Actual age unknown, but was acquired as part of a lot of quilts signed and dated from the 1920s and 1930s out of Texas. This quilt shows imperfections consistent with age and use, including tattering, small holes, rips and tears, seam separations, wear on the fabric, fading, discoloration and small stains. It has some random yarn ties, but does not seem to have any batting, so the backside is loose. The pink striped backside has uneven fading and discoloration. Some of the ripped/torn fabric on the front seems somewhat fragile. Keep this in mind when laundering/cleaning.
