Very good antique condition overall. Antique Rosenthal R.C. Malmaison Bavaria porcelain cabinet plate dating from approximately 1891–1906. The plate features a beautifully hand-painted arrangement of open pink and deep fuchsia wild roses, rosebuds and green foliage. The flowers are arranged asymmetrically against a softly shaded background of pale green, blue, cream and warm tan. Its molded scalloped rim has subtle raised detailing and a fine gold-painted edge. The reverse bears Rosenthal’s early crowned R.C. Malmaison Bavaria backstamp and is faintly signed “M.T. Zimmerman” by the china painter. The signature is easiest to see under angled lighting and is shown closely in the photographs. Approximate measurement: • Diameter: 9 inches Condition Very good antique condition overall. No chips, cracks or repairs were observed during inspection. There is mild gold loss at three of the scalloped rim points, along with light age-appropriate surface and base wear. The artist’s signature is faint but remains visible. Please review all photographs closely, including the rim, painted decoration, reverse, foot ring, backstamp and signature, as they form an important part of the description.
