Beautiful Vintage Madeira 16-Piece Embroidered Linen & Filet Lace Placemat and Napkin Set Elegant vintage 16-piece table linen set for 8 , featuring a gorgeous combination of warm ivory/cream fabric with contrasting soft gray-taupe embroidery and intricate lacework. The set includes 8 placemats and 8 matching napkins . The placemats are especially striking, with alternating diamond-shaped ivory embroidered panels and elaborate gray-taupe floral lace panels. Each ivory panel features detailed floral embroidery with decorative openwork accents. The entire placemat is finished with a delicate scalloped lace border. The coordinating napkins feature a beautifully embroidered floral motif in one corner along with matching gray-taupe lace edging. Measurements: Placemats: approximately 18" × 13" Napkins: approximately 16" × 16" Condition: Wonderful unused vintage / new old stock condition . The 8 placemats are remarkably still attached to one another with their original connecting strings and have never been separated for use. The napkins are no longer attached and a couple of them have very faint, minor age/storage-related yellowing. No holes or tears noted. Overall, this set has been exceptionally well preserved. A beautiful complete vintage setting for eight and an especially lovely choice for an elegant dinner table, holiday setting, wedding or bridal luncheon.
