The exterior is covered in raised flowers, leaves, berries and botanical motifs, with ornate footed supports and an elaborate movable handle decorated with sculptural vine and berry details. Beautiful antique Meriden Silver Plate Co. quadruple plate footed bride’s/cake basket, pattern No. 01613, dating to the late 19th century. This highly decorative Victorian/Aesthetic Movement piece measures approximately 10 inches wide and features exceptionally detailed floral ornamentation throughout. The exterior is covered in raised flowers, leaves, berries and botanical motifs, with ornate footed supports and an elaborate movable handle decorated with sculptural vine and berry details. The interior features a delicate engraved floral branch with butterfly/insect motif, a wonderful example of the nature-inspired decoration associated with Aesthetic Movement design.
