This is a hand-blown cylinder vase with a thick, hot-applied wrapped band around the center, attributed to Blenko Glass Co., Milton, WV - #6046 / #6130 Banded Cylinder family, Joel Myers era, 1970s . The color is that perfect Blenko Peacock Teal - a deep sea green with blue undertones that glows brilliantly in natural light. The construction is classic Blenko: heavy thick-walled cylinder (6.13 lbs!), smooth polished base with a centered dimple/kick and no rough pontil scar, and a hand-applied band with the characteristic teardrop overlap and trailing tail where the gaffer wrapped and cut the hot glass. You can see tiny seed bubbles trapped inside the band itself, proof of the hot application. The top rim is polished, the bottom shows light honest age wear from display.
