Vintage Lenox Winter Greetings “Cardinals” fine porcelain mug featuring the artwork of wildlife artist Catherine McClung. This classic Lenox holiday pattern was introduced in the 1990s and features winter birds surrounded by seasonal holly, pinecones, greenery and red ribbon. This Cardinals version depicts both the brilliant red male cardinal and the more subdued female cardinal around the mug, finished with an elegant gold-trimmed rim and gold accent on the handle. The underside is clearly marked Winter Greetings by Catherine McClung – Cardinals – Lenox Fine Porcelain, with the original Handcrafted in Japan label still present. Good pre-owned condition with no chips or cracks noted. There is age/use wear and darkening to portions of the gold trim and light signs of previous use consistent with a vintage porcelain mug.
