Up for sale is a beautiful, highly collectible Vintage Southwestern Native American Navajo Style Ring. This piece features a gorgeous natural green turquoise cabochon set in a classic twisted/beveled silver frame. Due to its petite size, this ring is perfect as a child’s heirloom ringor a sophisticated women’s pinky ring. Artisan Provenance: The reverse side of the setting features a punctuated artisan etching: G.G.8 or J.G.8 (unsure of the letters - please see picture). The signature is highly consistent with recognized mid-century Diné/Navajo silversmiths. The numerical "8" suffix may represent a historic guild workshop number or family bench tracking code used by early trading posts to catalog elite silversmith production. While the band itself is fundamentally unsigned/unstamped for metal purity (highly characteristic of genuine "Old Pawn" and mid-century reservation-made silver), it tests positive for high-grade sterling silver quality.
