The note indicates that the appliqué work was completed years earlier and that the quilt was finished/set around 1979. Vintage handmade appliqué and hand-quilted bed quilt measuring approximately 95" x 82.75". Features 12 striking geometric star/sunburst appliqué blocks arranged in a 3 x 4 layout. The quilt features extensive geometric quilting throughout. An original handwritten note is still attached to the quilt, providing wonderful provenance. The note indicates that the appliqué work was completed years earlier and that the quilt was finished/set around 1979. Some of the handwriting is difficult to decipher, so the original note is shown in the photographs & will remain with the quilt. Condition: Pre-owned vintage condition w/ age-related wear. The quilt does not have a finished binding around the outer perimeter. The edges are raw/unbound, with some loose threads visible. Some minor age-related discoloration, toning, or other imperfections may be present.
