During the American Brilliant Period (ABP) around 1910, master glassworks used an incredibly high-density, premium Lead Crystal formula loaded with natural lead oxides. This heavy chemical batch gave the glass its signature icy weight, diamond-like refraction, & a beautiful musical ring when tapped. While the term "Elegant Glass" usually refers to the high-quality, fire-polished pressed glass lines made slightly later in the 1920s–1950s, e-commerce search engines and collectors group both categories together under high-end vintage crystal.
